There was news recently, where 18 students have been expelled in IIT-Roorkee (actually they are taken back later) because of their CGPA being below 5. The information on the course of the student is mandatory and required because if it had been a Post Graduate, then the talk might entail to necessity of reservations in Post Graduation courses.
